A macro is simply a series of instructions. After you've created a macro, Excel will execute those instructions, step-by-step, on any data that you give it.

How to Enable or Record Macros in Excel

Step 1 - Click on the developer tab in Ribbon in excel
       How to enable developer tab in your Work Sheet
                   Step 1 - Click on FILE
                   Step 2 - Select Options
                   Step 3 - Click on Customize Ribbon
                   Step 4 - Enable Developer Tab 

Step 2 - On Left Side of the Screen you can see options like Macros , Record Macros and Use Related References

Step 3 - Click on Record Macro to record the step by step instructions in excel.

Step 4 - Enter the Name and Shortcut Key required for Macro and Record it, after completing your recording RUN the macro to work on your Excel.
